Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s Richard E. Winter Cancer Center Receives Donation for Patient Comfort
Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s Richard E. Winter Cancer Center recently received a donation of over 50 handmade pillowcases from Georgia Langley, a member of the Claxton-Hepburn Auxiliary crafting group.  Mrs. Langley chose to make the pillow cases, using different themed fabrics, as a service project and a way to give back to the Cancer Center in memory of her late husband who passed away from cancer, and as a part of The 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge, in which you make pillowcases to donate to a charity of your choice.  Shown accepting the pillow cases from Langley (center), are Cancer Center Director Kay Zimmer and Kendall Wilson, oncology coordinator.  To learn more about the challenge visit www.allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases.  To learn more about the Richard E. Winter Cancer Center and how we are defending your tomorrow, visit us on the web at www.claxtonhepburn.org/cancer.
