Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center joins in the national recognition of Medical-Surgical Nurses Week, by The Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) who have designated this week, November 1-7, to shift that focus to the nurses themselves. Medical-Surgical nurses make a difference by building the profession of nursing and the medical-surgical nursing specialty. They mentor and nurture each other and advocate for patients and families at the local and national levels. They serve their communities through care and education, and promote medical-surgical nursing certification, resulting in better and safer healthcare. They improve patient care through evidence-based practice. Your tomorrow is worth defending.
