Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s Recognizes Pharmacy Staff
Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center joins in the celebration of National Pharmacist Month this October highlighting the significant contributions of our pharmacy staff to keep our patients and community healthy.  Pharmacy continues its role as a profession focusing on dispensing vital medications, and being a valued member of the healthcare team.  Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are the general public’s most accessible health care professional who possesses a wealth of knowledge of which many may not be aware.  Pharmacists monitor and prevent drug interactions, consult prescribers on new and emerging treatment options, and help patients understand how to use their medications safely and effectively.  Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and are accountable to the supervising pharmacist who is legally responsible for the care and safety of patients served by the pharmacy.  Please join us this October in recognizing our pharmacy staff defending your tomorrow.  Shown in the photo are some of Claxton-Hepburn’s pharmacy staff.  Left to right are Jeff Green, RPh, Nicole LeClair, CPhT, Jason Demers, PharmD, Mary Burwell, CPhT, Greg Guimond, RPh and Sue Martin.
