Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s Bush and Wright Earn Certification
Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is pleased to announce that Surgical Services Registered Nurses Colleen Wright and Emily Bush have successfully completed the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses Periop 101:  A Core Curriculum.  The program was developed by expert surgical nurse-authors.  Periop 101: A Core Curriculum, is a comprehensive, online education program based on the latest, evidence-based guidelines for perioperative practice. It is used by over 1,500 hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers nationwide to recruit, educate, and retain operating room nurses, and can reduce turnover by as much as 25%.  Designed to be used in conjunction with a clinical preceptorship, Periop 101 helps build confidence and satisfaction among staff, elevates the facility to an employer-of-choice, and can be tremendous support for reducing patient risk.  Shown in the photo are Bush and Wright.
