On December 8, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s Wellness Center staff invite you and your family to join them in the Medical Center’s Hess Auditorium for a holiday-themed evening of wellness and awareness. The event will feature an opportunity to speak with Wellness Center providers and Mental Health Center staff and provide an opportunity for self-referral to the Wellness Center. Additionally, educational information on mental health and wellness will be available, and there will be a children’s village with craft tables, a magician, photos with Santa, games of chance, and holiday cookie decorating. Santa's helpers will serve light refreshments. All are welcome to attend. Kim McKnight, Director of Behavioral Health Services at Claxton-Hepburn stated, “We are offering this event to provide an opportunity for the community to meet our Wellness Center providers, make referrals, and gain insight and awareness to stop the stigma of mental health wellness and treatment.” She continued, “We will be providing quarterly events like this one as a part of our community engagement initiative.” For more information about the event, contact the Wellness Center at 315-713-5720. Your tomorrow is worth defending.
