Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s Rev. Thomas T. Patterson Wound Healing Center recently received full re-accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) for its hyperbaric oxygen therapy program. This accreditation is awarded to Centers for meeting or exceeding highest industry standards and best practices in hyperbaric treatment. The certification is good for three years. The certification process ensures that the highest levels of quality care are achieved. A team of experts from UHMS examined the Center’s staffing and training, equipment, operation and maintenance, facility and patient safety, and standard of care, finding that the Center was eligible for reaccreditation. Shown in the photo with one of the Center’s hyperbaric chambers are Center staff, Paula Forsythe, Tonya Shannon, Jennie Winters, Dr. Kenneth Bridges, Crystal Austin, Kellsey Barr, Julie Cryder, and Jamieka Rowe.
