On Thursday, August 24, 2017, Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center sponsored a free diabetes education day. The program included information on meal planning, medications, exercise, complications, and how to make lifestyle modifications. Speakers were Dr. Michael Seidman, Diabetes Educators Karen Cole and Shannon VanHouse, Alison Felt, dietitian, and Danny Sekhon, pharmacist. The program was held in Claxton-Hepburn’s Hess Auditorium with a free breakfast and lunch provided by HCR Homecare. Shown in the photo addressing the audience, is Dr. Michael Seidman.
